St. Michael's Linby and St James' Papplewick are the two worship-centres for the Anglican Church in the Parish of Linby cum Papplewick, the more rural part of the area which spreads from Annesley Road to Papplewick Pumping Station! A variety of different forms of worship takes place in both Church buildings each Sunday. They are both beautiful historic Churches and there is a real sense of continuity of witness over generations. St. Michael's has recently been re-ordered. Our Mission Statement is 'Live, Worship and Proclaim Christ - unchanging in a changing world'. There is a magazine which is produced each month giving full details of a range of activities which demonstrate a Church community alive and active. We seek to listen to God in the Scriptures and be open to the Holy Spirit. We are very much an 'all-age Church' with a sense of enthusiasm for the Gospel.
